Reporting to the Associate Director, the key responsibilities and main outputs of the Electrical Engineer role are as follows;

Project Management;

  • Drive Digital Way of Work in line with International practices;
  • Ensure that work is done in accordance with acceptable standards of both RHDHV and that of Clients;
  • Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system;
  • Preparation and management of specifications, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meeting agenda's and minutes, and procurement issues;
  • Electrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national and international standards;
  • Assessing of client/ project electrical engineering requirements;
  • Prepare concept design and the ability to objectively evaluate both technically and commercially, different options based upon project objectives/requirements;
  • Cost estimation of electrical engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costs;
  • Proposals, Expression of interests and tendering;
  • Management of multi-disciplinary projects from inception to close out;
  • Business Development and Client Liaison, targeting sales with key targets/outputs, i.e. Private sector and good networks;
  • Budgetary and financial responsibility for projects;
  • Collaborate with local and international teams;

Minimum required qualification:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least 7 years of work experience. Professional Registration at Ordem do Engenheiros de Mocambique.

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English;
  • Sound electrical engineering knowledge and experience on Buildings type projects;
  • Knowledge of electric power transmission;
  • An awareness and appreciation for health, safety and environmental issues
  • Be well acquainted with local equipment, manufacturers, suppliers and installation contractors

  • Experience with and supports Digital Way and Working, e.g. BIM22, Revit, CDE, and other platforms;
