You’ll be involved in a wide range of projects within a matrix organisation that operates in the UK and worldwide.


Role Context

You’ll join our UK HR Team based in Peterborough and will deliver project orientated work for our People Relations function. This role will support all Business Lines and Corporate Groups by providing Employee Relations expertise in collaboration with the broader HR UK team.

Working with our colleagues in Global People Services team provides a platform for HR to provide an efficient and compliant HR service in the UK, taking into account global standards and policies.


What your role looks like:

  • Support the execution of restructuring, relocation, mergers, acquisitions.
  • Provide Employee Relations support ensuring that all advice provided is in line with HR policy and procedures.
  • Advise line managers and coaches in respect of any policy changes.
  • Works closely with People Services & Centre of Expertise groups for an efficient, compliant and effective execution from job offer acceptance to off boarding of employees (Hire2Retire).
  • Works as part of the People Relations Team to effectively and efficiently support the delivery of annual processes, including pay increases, variable pay and any other country-led projects.
  • Coaches managers on individual employee relations issues including, but not limited to, absenteeism, grievances, performance issues, disciplinaries.
  • Support the reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with legislation.
  • Support continuous improvements in HR processes and services.
  • Support communication of up to date HR policy and guidance as appropriate.
  • Support development of Graduate programme and Company induction
  • Engage with the Global mobility team on Immigration matters to ensure alignment within the business.


Skills we'd like to see:

  • Strong Employee Relations experience
  • Experience of supporting business in relation to TUPE
  • Significant consultation experience relating to both individual and collective consultation
  • Organising and planning skills
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Team Player
  • Results orientated
  • Ability to deal with complexity and change management in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Customer-service orientated: understanding the key drivers of business success and how HR can drive continued excellent service.
  • Experienced in advising and supporting colleagues and management on ER issues to support the (quality of the) decision-making process, create risk-awareness and improve the quality of (business) process.



Appropriate level of CIPD certification
