The Water & Maritime Senior Business Process Analyst will contribute to the digital way of working at Water and Maritime, more particular in standardization, optimisation and automation of our primary processes. The end goal is to remain competitive and differentiate ourselves in our leading markets -with Digital ways of working (DWOW) contributing to sales growth, improved performance in project delivery, and adding value for ourselves and our clients.

What you do as a Senior Business Process Analyst Water & Maritime
You will lead process mapping of the current way of working in our primary processes in our 3 leading markets: water technology, climate resilience and maritime; followed by process analysis and business process optimization options including automation needs. As such, you will closely work with people executing the primary processes as well as the DWOW community including DWOW business owners, Internal Process Advisor, Technical Director and central product development team. As a Senior Business Process Analyst these are your activities:

  • process mapping and analysis of primary business processes in climate resilience, water technology, and maritime in terms of efficient and effective delivery;
  • translate findings in quantitative measures/options for optimization, standardization, and automation;
  • model processes using Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN) and Decision Model & Notation (DMN);
  • make recommendations on process optimisation;
  • translate business process requirements into automation needs & software requirements;
  • initiate and lead process redesign workshops with the business;
  • communicate extensively with process and product owners;
  • communicate through User Experience (UX);
  • ensure interoperability of the different tools and procedures used for projects or internal processes.

Where you will work
As a Senior Business Process Analyst you will be part of the Water and[MS1]  Maritime Digital Way of Working core team which is a small team embedded in the wider W&M global DWOW community across countries, business units, and advisory groups. You report to the global director strategy, transformation, and digital way of working Water & Maritime.

What you bring to the role
You have experience with LEAN, scrum, and understand agile processes. You are an excellent process modeller and are able to clearly communicate requirements, preferably in user stories. You have affinity with the consultancy or engineering domain and are able to talk the language of the Water & Maritime business (globally) to understand and map current way of working. You excel at workflow standardization, automation, and decision management. Furthermore, you have the following:

  • business and computer science background (MSc level with minimum of 8 years of experience)
  • strong prioritization skills which include aligning with the various stakeholders (business, engineers, line management, etc.)
  • experience with working very closely with a design team for an excellent user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)
  • a deep understanding of business intelligence and data science concepts
  • preferably experience in engineering consultancy, climate resilience, water technology or maritime primary processes
  • preferably up-to-date with latest developments on artificiaI intelligence, virtual/augmented reality, robotic process
  • automation, and machine learning;
  • proper business English is a must
  • keeping a constant eye on the bigger picture
  • full-time role in principle (80%-100%)
