What you will do as Junior Process Engineer 

As junior process engineer industrial water you work on projects in both the Netherlands and abroad. You are eager to participate and learn from a technological perspective, in small and large projects and in different phases, such as: feasibility & system selection studies, pilot research, design & engineering, realization, operations & maintenance, circular water programs and evaluations & benchmarks.

You will combine your technological affinity for biological wastewater treatment, physical/chemical treatment, sludge and resource management, circular/integrated and smart water with innovation and digitization and development of new businesses. 
You usually work in project teams on challenging and complex issues in different project phases. You are eager to contribute based on your technical competence and your passion for finding sustainable solutions. You enjoy using a mix of your communication and analytical skills to support our clients on a daily basis.

  • You have a bachelor (Bsc) or master of science (MSc) degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Chemical Technology, (Micro) Biology, Environmental Technology or equivalent.
  • You are eager to learn and to obtain excellent technological knowledge.
  • You own strong analytical competences.
  • You have strong reporting and communication skills, at least in English and Dutch (>B1).
  • You become enthusiastic of working together as team player with colleagues and clients.
  • You have a flexible mindset and can work with a dynamic project planning.

One of the pillars in our Water Technology is our strong Research & Development activities to explore new technologies.

The Advisory Group Water for Industry’s main focus is to provide solutions for the industry’s process water and cooling water systems, sewer systems, water recycling, waste water treatment and zero liquid discharge. We are an interdisciplinary group of ca. 35 ambitious colleagues with different expertise, ranging from biological to physical-chemical treatment and from specialist to generalist roles.

Our industrial clients demand top class expertise to optimize costs and to ensure reliable operation and compliance of their valuable assets with sustainability as a core driver. Water plays a vital role in our client’s business, from intake to discharge and from site to catchment. 


Our technical and technological expertise is applied at all project stages and at different organizational levels. From strategy and planning, through feasibility and system selection, to design, engineering, construction management and operation and maintenance of water assets: we do it all! Our process experts are well known as pioneers and leading professionals in sustainability, enhancing society by finding the optimal (sustainable) solutions to our client’s challenges.
