Learn to live with uncertainty

With climate-related weather events becoming increasingly frequent and severe, living with uncertainty is something to which we must all become accustomed. That’s the theme of this year’s NSW Coastal Conference, and our experts will be on hand to share how we’re helping organisations prepare for the unexpected.

Our coastal resilience team will be sharing real case studies and the latest innovations from 31 May to 2 June 2022 at the Mantra on Salt Beach, Kingscliff, NSW. As a proud sponsor of this important event, we’d love to see you there.

Discover the latest in coastal resilience innovation

Now in its 29th year, the NSW Coastal Conference has become one of Australia’s most successful coastal industry events. The theme of this year’s conference is “Living with Uncertainty” – a topic that’s becoming increasingly relevant to all of us.

As a sponsor of the event, we’ll be presenting innovative applications for coastal management, alongside real-life case studies about the successful risk management of erosion. Naturally, you’re also welcome to discuss your own challenges with our experts in the field.

The coastal conference is a great place to network, with over 250 delegates and representatives from the public sector, private sector, and community groups in attendance. By registering to join us, you’ll also reserve your place at the conference’s annual awards dinner, celebrating the best in Australian coastal management.
We can’t wait to see you there, so we can take the next step in protecting our coastlines together.

''This year’s Coastal Conference theme ‘Living with uncertainty’ has never been more relevant. As a Coastal Engineer I have been called out in numerous severe coastal storm events over the past few years, to provide emergency design and construction advice on the ground. With the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events increasing, the impacts have become more hazardous, and beach recovery time has reduced, exacerbating the problem. Adaptive risk mitigation measures are becoming increasingly necessary.
