Eneco expects to start construction in 2022. This will ensure that the wind farm will start its 25 years of renewable energy supply no later than 2023. The new wind farm will produce roughly 416 GWh of electricity for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. This is enough meet the energy consumption of 138,000 households.

"We are proud to have worked on the winning tender and that we can continue on the development." says Royal HaskoningDHV's project leader Erik Zigterman.
This wind farm is a significant step towards achieving the climate agreement to ensure that 70% of all electricity in the Netherlands is sourced from renewable sources by 2030.
