Royal HaskoningDHV marked the opening of its new offices at Telecom House close to Preston Park in Brighton with a reception attended by Lizzie Deane, Mayor of Brighton & Hove and Cllr Jamie Lloyd, Deputy Chair, Environmental, Transport, Sustainability Committee at the Brighton & Hove City Council, clients, and suppliers.

The move represents the merger of two existing offices, bringing teams from Royal HaskoningDHV and Ambiental under one roof. The new office has been designed to better suit the hybrid working arrangements the company has adopted since the pandemic.

Jonathan Bull, Resident Director UK, said: “Brighton is an incredible city, full of energy, our team is so excited to make the move to the new office. We’ve worked hard to create a stimulating workplace, where collaboration between the teams will spark even greater creativity. This fantastic location makes it easier for staff to use public transport to travel to and from work, helping us meet our sustainability ambitions.”

The office can accommodate around 80 people and is easily accessible by public transport, being within walking distance of Brighton station. Plentiful eBikes, cycle lanes and bus routes service the area and it is just a short train journey to Gatwick Airport or into London St Pancras for Eurostar connections.

Besides the focus on flexible working and collaboration, the office has been fitted out sustainably with LED lighting, low energy appliances and PIR lighting. Due to hybrid working practices, the offices will have fewer permanent workspaces resulting in less ICT hardware which also contributes to a lower carbon footprint, helping the company meet its corporate commitment to enhancing society.
