The event, taking place in London on 19 and 20 February, focuses on integrating smarter operations across ports and terminals worldwide.
The agenda includes several panel discussions that pull together industry experts to share their experiences in key aspects of smart ports. Royal HaskoningDHV is involved in two of these sessions.
Richard Willis, Port Operations Technical Director, is participating in a discussion on automating physical processes within the supply chain infrastructure on 19 February. Kris Kosmala, Smart Ports Digital Services Director, will join a session on Smart Ports and the Supply Chain the following day to explore how the industry is transforming to accommodate new digital processes.
Richard Willis said: “This is an exciting time for the port industry, with new technology presenting vast opportunities to operate more effectively, more sustainably and more economically. We work with many port operators worldwide to harness the latest developments and overcome their challenges. We’re really looking forward to sharing our expertise at the event.”
Kris Kosmala added: “The pace of change in the port sector is accelerating in response to actions by carriers and shippers. Digital technology innovations are expected to add value to every aspect of port operations – this event will provide an interesting platform to assess which technology innovations will make a real difference. We’re excited to be a part of the discussion.”
In addition to these speaker sessions, Royal HaskoningDHV will showcase its work via an exhibition stand and will seek opportunities to network with representatives from across the port industry.
