Designing new solar manufacturing plant for multinational client
Our multinational client is specialised in turnkey project management for solar energy and green, eco-friendly and other renewable technologies. Their goal was to build a 1 GWp (gigawatt-peak) of solar cell and module production in Mongolia.
Royal HaskoningDHV was asked to design the process critical utilities, including the distribution and hook-up for the factories. We were also asked to support the local design institute with a design brief in which we gave recommendations regarding both the civil and building related utilities parts. In the end we were able to support the client with challenging decisions made and the final stages of the project as well. This included checking and assisting the move-in and start-up/ramp-up of the equipment supplier Tempress, so that they can meet their specifications and targets.
