Our client is a global manufacturer of linoleum and flooring products. It planned a major investment in new machinery to print and etch designs on its products at the end of the production process. It analysed the business case and new market potential from investing in this innovative finishing process. However, a decision was needed about where to locate the 125-metre-long machine before progress could be made on the conceptual design.

Trusted partnership forms basis for introducing innovations

Royal HaskoningDHV provided strategic and engineering consultancy advice which enabled the board to reach a decision on the optimal location for the new process. We then developed the conceptual design plans so the proposed investment could be finalised.

It’s often a challenge for companies in the fast-moving consumer goods sector to introduce operational innovations and efficiency while maintaining their focus on the needs of customers.
