Our client has a small brewery producing nearly 300,000 hectolitres annually on an island in the Indian ocean. The operation needed replacing and updating but the challenge was to do so while maintaining continuity of production. The challenge was intensified by the restricted space available.

Economical solution made possible through 3D model of entire process

On a site visit, it was clear that the existing brewhouse was almost obsolete and could not be re-used, so a full replacement was necessary. The plan was to demolish existing workshops to make way for a new brewhouse, thereby allowing production to continue during construction.

The limited space available meant 3D modelling was invaluable. By modelling the equipment, we could virtually construct the brewery to ensure everything fitted. The 3D model also enabled us to optimise the layout to deliver a cost-effective solution that enabled the existing brewery to stay in operation until the changeover could be made.
