With a total floor area of 18,000 m² and 30 storeys, the new World Trade Center II is an imposing sight in the Indonesian capital. The main tenant, Permata Bank, is one of the country’s largest banks and leases eight floors, including the ground floor where its tellers are based.

Royal HaskoningDHV handled stakeholder engagement and administration, and coordinated the project on behalf of the bank.

"The biggest challenge for the project team was to create a tailored solution within an existing building", says René Karreman, Director of International Business Development, Buildings. “Security was a major factor. For instance, the bank must prevent financial data, transactions and customer details from being lost or becoming inaccessible. For this reason, we had to incorporate additional facilities for the specific banking systems, while the outer structure of the building was being built. Ultimately we succeeded in flexibly configuring the entire working environment and specifically adapting it to the customer’s requirements.”
