When a food manufacturer in Poland wanted to more than double dry blending capacity at one of its sites to meet increased demand, we ensured its plans were both feasible and optimised for the space available.
Challenge to double capacity within constrained space
The challenge for the manufacturer was the constrained size of their existing site. The new equipment required was very large and the impact of such a big increase in capacity extended beyond manufacturing operations into warehousing and the supply chain.
Our analysis included due diligence and optimisation for the new factory layout, taking into account increased raw material, finished goods and material handling. From there we calculated costs, which were in line with our client’s investment plans.
