The Nereda wastewater treatment project at Utrecht is a city centre installation. The contractor Heijmans-GMB and the client, Water Authority Stichtse Rijnlanden, are working together with Royal HaskoningDHV, the developers of the Nereda technology. The contract includes design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of the plant for 10 years, with ongoing operational support.
Part of the annual Global Water Summit, the Global Water Awards acknowledge the most important achievements and technological breakthroughs in the water sector worldwide. This year’s event was held at the Natural History Museum in London on 9 April.
